Yup! I wash my coins off, coat them with oil, and then put em in the holder.
No need for them to become more oxidized!

Funny thats the first thing I noticed too! That is a great find. You are really cleaning up down there. I went to school down there(Hyde Park) and wish I had been tecting back then. Congrats

That one is on my bucket list. Many of the homes around my house date back to the mid 1800s. I have to brush up on my door knocking a bit. I also have a few cellar holes near by. But have to wait for the ground growth to die off.

Great find! Mine was a '66 too. Found it my first year, and never came across another. Yours is in great shape & nice job with the cleaning.
