had to try out my new pro pointer today. went to a park and found a lot of pull tabs, bottle caps and a few clad coins. I also dug this from about 7". a rifle casing with the head stamp marking SL on one side and 43 on the opposite side. I googled it. it's a 30-06 casing. the SL stands for Saint Louis and the 43 is 1943. i'm curious as to how it got in a very busy city park near baseball diamonds. any thoughts?
