I keep mine simple but effective, the pick I love to hunt with because it means business, in the woods its great and in delicate lawns its great. Check out the hole it makes in lawns, it might look intimidating but its quite clean as you see in this early 1700s yard. The detector a pick and a place to hunt, that's it.

Guess it depends on how big of target your digging. Sure wouldn't want to carry it around all day.

Savage uses a backhoe. I haven't needed one yet! The wait of carrying the thing is not an issue because I cut the handle down a little and most of the time it's carrying me cause it's like a perfect walking stick with a custom like handle. HH

Considering the rocks I see that looks like a nice choice and the xlarge plug should go back quite nicely!
