Where would a chromium cobalt alloy give a signal on a metal detector? In other words, where between iron and silver. Thanks

Well it is still a steel/iron alloy. I would figure somewhere in the galvanized range. Which depending of the size can ring out as a carpenters dime.

Just like anything else, size, thickness, depth, soil conditions, and even whether or not it has a polished finnish will all play a part in how it registers. Then add to that the technology empolyed by the machine, as well as frequency, and.... you get the picture.
There are a lot of variables. It's not like a coin, where at least some of the properties are uniform and consistant.
