Found this at a late 1700’s home in a field not far from the house. Rang in 80-81 on the AT max thinking it’s copper or brass it’s non magnetic. Thanks in advance HH

Tang from a buckle. It's the part that goes through the hole in the belt or strap.
Possibly part of a horse harness or saddle strap (not the girth, though, I think).
