Hi, mcuch here saying hi, just recently started hunting civil war relics. Best part of it is the site is roughly 5 miles from my house, in 1863 there was an intense battle lasting 3 hours. The battle started by the Confederates surprise attack on a Union Camp, the area has been hit hard over the years as you can imagine. I have been very lucky, all the land owners so far have given permission to hunt their property anytime I want, usually I detect with a buddy of mine but I do hunt alone at times. Today I went and hunted at the site of the camp/ battlefield, can any one identify the one iron piece with the curve, the horseshoe I'm going to put in my electrolysis tank, found most of the bullets under power lines. The detected I use is a Pioneer 505 from eBay a few years ago for 120.00 it was never really use, in brand new shape, got to say, it really works good!
