If I don't use the REPLACEABLE HARD-SHELL CASE on the Makro pinpointer will the warranty be void if it stops working?

I cant see why it would because I've read the info given and nothing states we must you the cover. I prefer to use it just because I like keeping my tools in best condition possible

it's there for protection.. they wouldn't give it to you if they didn't want you to use it.

I put the protector over mine, Doesn't effect the depth at all. I also have been testing it against my Garrett, & the Makro on 4 goes a little deeper. So far I LOVE it! HH!

They certainly put a lot of thought into their products - Great value on one tough Pin Pointer
