While hunting a old school yard, now a house I was not doing very well at all. Only one 1966 quarter. I had just walked over to talk with my hunting buddy to see how he was doing. Same results, nothing not even pennies. I walked back over, picked up my Omega 8000 and didn't walk thirty feet when I got a 97-98. I always dig 90's and always have. I was not expecting any thing special as we were digging a lot of junk. At Three inches I see a silver rim. I was still not thinking silver dollar. Thought maybe a big token. After taking it out of the hole I still wasn't sure because of the dirt sticking to it. I walked over to my friend handed it to him and said. Is this what I think it is?. Yes, I know what a silver dollar is I just wasn't expecting it at all. Shocked. Wiping a little dirt away you could then see it A 1904 Silver dollar. I was so excited I couldn't hunt any more. Man what a feeling to find one of these coins. Once in a lifetime or at least the four years I've been hunting. Only found three other coins 2 quarters 1 wheat. Jay did find a nice silver ring.

Wow! Only 2,304,000 of those were minted. Worth anwhere from $80 in poor condition to $9,000 in mint condition. What an amazing find! Congrats!
