My wife's son lives in California and is an actor but it is not easy to become successful in that business.
Even if you have talent you still need to get a lucky break here and there, LA is full of talented people looking for a job.
Twenty years since Jerry Maguire came out, Tom Cruise is still Tom Cruise, Cuba Gooding, Jr. and Renée Zellweger are still doing whatever and Jonathan Lipnicki is still hanging in there.
He managed to live a pretty normal life growing up, played sports in public schools and instead of college decided to try to stay in show business if he could.
