can a skeleton key be dated?

Here's a skeleton key I found and cleaned up using electrolysis. I see its hand cut and was wondering if that means its older? Any way to date them?

I have no idea if it can be dated.

But I do know why the skeleton didn't cross the road.

I found some like yours on the net but none of them gave a date range other than to say they are vintage for doors.

The front door key to my grandmother's house was identical to that one. The house was built by my grandfather in 1929 if that helps.
