Tag or Token or what?

Found this last night. I think one side says "12 / B AND S / SOFT" and the other side says "BRASS & COPPER". I found something similar in the token catalog if you search for "brass & copper" but I'm not sure what it is exactly. Maybe a shipping/ID tag used on raw materials? Thanks for any info - Chris

Copper and brass are available in different hardness. May be a tag used to mark stock of that material?
