Part of a parking lot was tore out in the old part of town. I looked at Historic Aerials and they aerials only went back to the 50s and it was just a farming field then. I went and kicked around the dirt in the lot during the day and could see evidence of a home site there. Broken dishware and old light bulb bases and fuses. I thought it might be promising. It was way too hot to detect during the day, so I went back last night to detect when it was cooler. I was hoping to uncover some old silver coins, but only found a couple wheats. I did find these cool, old, tokens though. An aluminum star one. It's the kind you could get from vending machines and stamp what you'd like on them. It says "Phone kys 335J1 Learfield Utah"

The other 2 are tokens from the Clearfield Canning Co. Bob Campbell's price guide on Utah Trade Tokens lists them as Uncommon $50-$100 each. They were struck between 1907-1912. I always enjoy finding tokens. I'll be giving this site another hunt, for sure!
