I live in S.w. Indiana. I have been metal detecting for a few years now. Just not to many time per year. Not real fun by my self.

A lot of people like this hobby because they can do it alone.

Some do enjoy detecting alone, but some would prefer detecting with one or more detecting friends, especially understandable when you're newer at it.

You might be able to find someone close enough that wouldn't mind a hunting buddy.

Be one with your MD and you will not need a buddy. I have hunted in the past with others and for some strange reason I turned back the clock and felt like a little kid then realized just how tired I was from MD with a group.

Welcome. Buy a basic beep n dig detector and introduce a kid to detecting. You could be helping both of you out.
