Help to ID bottle

I found this while metal detecting today. I dont know anything about bottles so any information would be great. It says Duraglas 1-WAY. I believe the date is from 1947 from the numbers on the bottom. Thanks and HH

The 'duraglas' logo was used from about c1940 to mid 1950's by Owens-Illinois glass. The term 'duraglas' referred to the finishing process used on glass items.

Yup, Old Beer Bottle! I find them all the time in the woods on the base Im at.

I agree -- had a Budwieser (sp) bottle dropped in my yard one time that had the same color and shape -- and mine was full.

You should make yourself a bottle probe and probe around that area, there's probably more there and maybe more valuable like old coke bottles. It's probably from the 40's but I think the owen's mark with the I inside the O started actually in the mid to late 20's not the 40's.

Thanks for the info. I will go back and try that. If I find anymore bottles I will post them. Since Iam not finding coins in that area maybe I can get a few nice bottles anyway!
