These came quick this morning. I was there for only 1.5 hours.
The stirrup is only 4" wide. The rumor is that there was a race track there years ago. Is it a kids or possibly a jockeys or something else? The shotgun headstamp is UMC Nitro Club. I know Turtle foot is the go to man but I too find headstamps interesting. The hoe tells a story in itself for this paticular field. I have found items from the civil war to the modern age.

cool! finding a stirrup is on my bigtime bucket list.
I've seem to have found ever other part of a horses harness, now just waiting for a stirrup!
I collect headstamps too. I really enjoy finding the pre 1900 ones, UMC Nitro Club is a keeper!
