The Seattle area doesn't usually get 10 - 15 inches of snow in a year, but in the last week we got at least that much. The Melt is finally here and my impatience got the better of me so I went out today, even though there was still snow on the ground in most of the parks and other locations. Ultimately I decided that I should try some curbstrips that had melted out. It was so muddy and wet that at times the dirt in the holes was more like lumpy soup. Nonetheless, I kept at it and was rewarded with my first Walker. Quite a surprise and right up against the inside of the curbing. There was also a wheat penny stuck to it. In addition I dug up 4 other wheaties - all so toasted that you can't read the dates. Anyway, a great way to get back into the swing. HH

Curb strips have been good to me too. Nice find on the big silver, that will keep you going back for sure.

Great finds! I think curbstrips get over looked... I have found my fair share of goodies in them. Nice job!
