Sorry to hear the local club has gone defunct - I'm finding that to be common in this area. Nearest active clubs in the area for me are all at least 2.5 hours away. Sounds like you may have one or two local contacts, at least, though!
Sure, if you make it up to the BG area, I'd be happy to meet up - but if the parks and fairgrounds in Lima are detector friendly, you may see me down there soon to get some practice in! Indeed, the county parks up my way aren't detector friendly, but I still haven't thoroughly investigated the rules for our city parks yet...I have reason to believe they may be more open.
