Finally found the bottle dump I've been looking for. It's on the bottom of the ocean, but I'll keep working on it.

Anyway, this is the first one I need help with.
Could be American, or Japanese as I'm located in Saipan.

No markings. about 10 to 12 inches tall. I believe it has what is called a "lightening" top? Is that right?

Any ideas welcome.

Thanks.

Looks like a turn mold bottle my guess is turn of last century. Likely contained wine or soda. Nice color and neat bottle; value .. not much.My guess is that is not American made , maybe European .

Was found with other ww2 stuff of the 40s. No markings. From what I could research, European, no value, soda or wine seem right on.
Only question would be to how European bottle got onto Saipan with War junk.
Interesting to think about.

Down inside that base, is it sharp edged as if a pontil rod was broken off? If not, it has what is seen on most wine bottles, a "Kick-Up". It would have to date to the 1880s or before to have a pontil.
