Hi all, Not only my first barber quarter in many years detecting, but this 1895 had early Ford logo stamped on it. A good friend with ties to a knowledgable token person asked him about it. His response indicated that these stamped ford logo coins (which do show up every now and then) were probably the work of a ford employee who used the stamp on coins just goofin around. The stamp itself was likely a tool stamp, and/or used in a Ford factory cafeteria to stamp thier silverware etc. Anyway, came up from 6 inches down here in northern michigan. Cool little coin.

Normally damage like that reduces value in a coin, but in this case I would think the opposite given the neat history. Someone would probably pay to have that coin! A lot of Ford people out there! Nice find!

Cool find. I think Spenglure is right.

Nice and unusual find! Just be happy it wasn’t one of the key dates 😊
