Found this coin going through some of my Dads things. He has no recollection of where he got it. Looks to be in pretty good shape before the intentional damage took place. Makes me wonder how long ago it was damaged? Just an interesting thing I came across.

At least it does have a very nice patina. I have some large cents that are all much darker.
