It's raining here in Iowa,
this time of year it tends to bring up the salamanders.
Maybe they are mirgrating to thier hibernation boogs?
I drove to a town meet up with usmcdetector.
I found two salamanders crossing the highway,
I stopped to get them off the road as so they wouldn't get squished.....
I've got a soft spot for those cute critters[emoji56]
We started at the local city park.
Finding clad, and hot wheels.
Wanting some older finds we decided to hit a few curb strips before the rain became heavier.
The grass between the street and side walk
was plenty wide for the both of us.
The first couple of targets were clad some fairly deep...
I struck a wheat then so did USMC...
I think his next target was an amazing looking coin.....
(Photos later)
His 50th silver this year?
Looks like it was dropped in early 1943!!
Beautiful Walking half.
He scored again further down the curb strip... A deep signal....
An old coin spill at 11 inches deep
8 coins in all..
a buffalo, 3 Indians 4 wheats!
(Now the pressure is building)
Getting out done by his Deus [emoji19]
After getting to the end of the strip,
it was time to head back towards the truck, where we started.
(Nothing is ever hunted out)
Retracing over the strip in the opposite direction, more clad.
Then I got my best signal of the day,
aside from those hot wheels that sound like quarters....
A 13:47 with two nails in the hole
I pulled out a 43 GW !
My 75th silver of the season.
The salamander rain turned into silver rains!
