Digging across from a civil war grave yard and found this. I was reading some other post on buttons like this one, but I can't find one just like this one. It says Superfine and has what looks like oak leafs on the bottom. I think there was an image on the back, but I can't see it anymore.

That side is actually the back, the superfine refers to the manufacturer. ( called a backmark. ) the loop (shank) that you sewed to the jacket looks to be busted off. Safe bet is early 1800s-1840 on age. Great find, flat buttons are fun finds!! HH!
