I've been hearing about possible new Ct. laws for artifacts being proposed. Something to the effect that anything found that is 50 years or older would be considered state property. Sounds ridiculous, and impossible to enforce. But it could make it hard to sell our old silver coins, and gold.
I would appreciate any info others might have heard on this subject.

What are they going to do strip search you after detecting? Most CT towns have laws on the books now that state what you posted .. many towns in CT have a rule that states you can swing your detector but you are not allowed to dig targets (surface collection only) yeah right

In NY that is already the law....It use to be 100 yrs or older but they changed it to 50 yrs...Plain and simple people just dont want us out there so it is always gonna be an uphill battle..
