New Finds on a colonial era homesite

While detecting on the farm along a road used by both union and confederate Calvary troops, my sons and I dug the following items. There was a colonial homesite on the property and much of the items came from the site. All items have been cleaned and waxed where appropriate.
A coupl of items duch as the old razor head and umbrella carousel are later.
In the center of the old frying pan is what appears to be part if a flintlock rifle or pistol butte. Also, possibly a canteen mouth found as well
The hinge is really neat, just over 22 inches in length. I included it with a closeup of the rolled end.

Nice set of age indicators there. Shows that old coins might be lurking nearby. Maybe even those fabled east coast large cents ! :cool:
