Searched an old house in Lawrence Kansas today. House was built in 1870's. Found two of these old bottle neck casings. I looked on several site and cannot find this one measures 1 1/16 inches tall. Rimfire no markings. at least 45 cal. Turrtlefoot you seem to be the man Thanks for your help.

I'm just going to throw this out there, it looks like a 50-46 spencer cartridge but i am not positive. if it were that, it would make it civil war/just post civil war.
