Default My site with some of my headstamp pics - UPDATED PHOTOS

Hi all,

I have been working on a small website concerning the type of metal detecting that I do. I have included pics of some of my headstamps that I have in my collection. I still have most of my strictly 19th century and all brass shells to include. I have another 30 or so that I have photographed and described but have not entered into the datebase. That will hopefully come this week.

I am also in the process of re-writing the different pages as I don't really like some of the wording and inconisitency of the format. Please be nice as this is my first attempt at a website.

Thanks for looking.
Doug

Nice goin Doug. You know... I'm surprised there aren't more, well organized, aethestically please sites dedicated to headstamps of all sorts. There are a few with lots of info, but the site quality is garbage and I want to navigate away.

Hope to see yoru collection grow!

Definitely try and find as much about dates for those headstamps... be awesome to know what time periods they all belong to :wyatogo:

Cool website. The grass will die soon. The head stamps will surface. This time I won't discard them. Hope there will be some good ones for ya!

Very nice site layout. Definitely one of the better sites that I have seen recently.

Thanks for all of the kind words. I plan on getting images up of other items that I hunt for (eventually). I am working on dates too. I actually have approximate date ranges for a lot of them, but I hesitate to put dates on as I keep getting little bits of info that keeps changing what I know. If you look at posts from the past and compare them to posts nowdays, you will see changes in some of the ranges. I hate the idea of telling others wrong.

Thanks for taking the time to looks at my site.

Doug

Hi All,

I have updated some of the pics on this site. I actually now have some non-headstamp pics up!

Thanks for looking,
Doug

Sweet site! The layout is good stuff and the pics are awesome!!

Always knew people hunted hunting/farming/logging relics. Never thought of it myself. Mostly because where I live, disc'ing out iron is mandatory due to the high iron content in the ground. But the family farm we hunt on etc...was a farm for 100yrs or so and before/during that time, it was also filled with logging trails/native american trails/camps etc...just haven't had time to hit it much...

Thanks for the kind words. I love hunting for the relics that I do. I know that they are common and not super exciting to some but I still love them.

Doug

Well done on your website. I'll be taking a good look at the brass I turn up now.
Thanks.

Thanks again for the kind words. I still have so many headstamps to catalog and get uploaded. My next part of my website project is to get the most accurate date range for each headstamp posted.

Doug
