1930 Clemson A&M (now Clemson University) mens gold class ring... Dug a vintage class ring of my alma mater! Better yet, i personally knew the family of the gentleman that lost it years ago... Also made a successful return to his grandkids!

My favorite and best find of the year is a 1787 Connecticut colonial copper coin that I found on an old farm in Western PA. I found several large cents and flat buttons in the same area, but I never expected to find a colonial! It isn't in very nice condition, but it's definitely a keeper.

That's a hard one.

I'd say it's a tie between the eight 1864 Presidential election jugates and the Light Artillery button from a War of 1812 encampment.

Victorian Ring

I found this Turquoise & Diamond 14k gold Victorian ring in April 2013 while beach hunting.

Voting begins 12:01 AM Jan.1 2014

Here is how you vote:

In the bottom R H corner of each entry click on the green thumb.

Each member is asked to submit (5) votes. That would be his or her favorite finds.

The system allows only one "Thumbs Up" on a single item so you cannot vote more than once for the same item.

There are some wonderful finds in 2013's crop, so peruse them and pick the best.

The 5 vote system will assure the cream rises to the top.

January, 5th the thread will be locked and the voting tallied.

After that the top ten will be sorted into two 5 item THREADS. you will cast one vote in each thread. One will be best overall find and the other will be the coolest find. More than likely the coolest will be a relic.

The odds of someone's find winning in both categories is possible, but so is winning power ball.:good luck:

Wishing good luck to all entries....Gil

Thanks!!!! The owner was a war hero who had passed. Like I said when I PM"d you not all treasure is rare, silver or gold. The media located this mans only surviving heir. A son who was so surprised I almost had to run to the bathroom. The thanks and lifelong freindship I have made with the find will always stay with me. Following the code of ethics pays off immensely, even emotionally. Thanks again for helping. Mark Kireta

Mine would be a trench art ring made from a 1918 French 2 Franc. Found in my parent's front yard around 6" deep.

I don't know if it's my BEST - I've gotten so much jewelry this year - but it is my absolute FAVORITE, my FIRST Indian Head Penny and I found it on the beach!!!

My favorite find is my good luck charm that I found it on St Patricks Day. It did bring me good luck with some of my other nice finds.

Wow, the new additions would have made voting a whole lot tougher! I like this, lots of great pictures. "Best of" threads are always great! Everyone has a best find!

My best is a Second Seminole War officers pipe or as one man once christened it "The Holy Grail of All Pipes"
