found this at athe same spot as an model 1853 Enfield gun lock plate. any ideas? tractor part?

Yep. Still have a lot of them left over from my furniture restoration days. Always picked up any old rails I could find as they were often 5/4 walnut or that rich deep red mahogany you can't get any more.
