headphone mod seems to work

Tonight i hit the water for a few hours, first time out since i modded the headphones on my excal, and there is a BIG difference for sure. Number one, outside sounds are much quieter, as suspected. It took me awhile tonight digging everything to realize something: with this new setup my volume was lower so i cranked the volume full on. In doing this the good targets now sound GOOD and the bad targets, even pulltabs, don't give the same or even close to the same response as a good target. There is this certain way these new headphones resonate or something on good vs bad, i can't explain it any better, sorry. Anyway, once i figured that out after hitting a coin or two i pulled all the coins and the rings and only the odd pulltab for the rest of the hunt... I'm liking this setup...
No gold tonight, but it will come in time...
