F 70 is a nickel magnet

I have a F 70 as a demo detector.I took it out to a park to familarize myself with it.I dug 22 nickels in a fairly short hunt.It seemed every time I got a 29 to 31 reading it was a nickel.I dug 2 bent pulltabs that gave solid nickel signals.ID numbers on the hunt were 88= Kennedy half,82-83=quarters,73-74=dimes,29-31 nickels,70-72 copper pennies,68-70 zinc pennies.This was with the stock program.Bill

I also have a new F 5.I have some time off coming up.I'll put it together and take it to a couple of ghost towns.I'll try to run a head to head comparison.I also have the 6.5 inch elliptical coil for the F70.I have used it a couple times and it is great in heavy trash.Good depth and seperation.Bill
