I got a super early start this morning to beat the heat since I knew that I was going to have wear full cup headphones to drown out the noise from the nearby traffic. I hate wearing full cup headphones when it's hot but I love wearing them when it gets really cold.

Since I didn't know anything about how to best run the Warrior, I had to learn as I was swinging and digging. That sucker is DEEP and is super sensitive. I couldn't run it wide open. Some of the targets were so deep I said to hell with it, because it was too darn hot to be digging that deep.

Anyhow at a well pounded site, I did manage to find 3 wheat pennies, a few pieces of clad, a 2.23g 10k gold cuff link, a gold plated ring with a nice stone, a old car pin, and a 1908 V nickel. I found the V nickel about 10 yards from where I found the seated dime earlier this year. Both were just under the surface near an old oak tree.

So you are cleaning out the place with a warrior.
My grandma who was born in 1897 used to say thanks for the buggy ride!:D

That cufflink is outatanding! Good first hunt with the Warrior!
Thanks! It surprised me when it popped out of the ground.

agreed. that is awesome!
Thanks! If just never know what that beep is until you dig it up.

It's cool to see new targets appear with different detectors. Good hunt!

Thanks! Yeah, It's amazing what different detectors will find.

Looks like the Warrior is proving itself worthy! Also looks like a typical keeper-to-junk ratio, with some better than average keepers. Nice!
Thanks! I was digging just about everything trying to figure out the detector.

Awesome hunt! Finding gold outside of the beach is *extra* impressive!
Thanks! Finding gold jewelry in the dirt doesn't come easy.

Nice to find gold on a maiden voyage, Congrats!!
Thanks! I hope to do better next time. I can't wait to get over some virgin ground.

Very nice finds.!

Thanks! I got lucky.

Beephead,
Excellent work! Here's some info on that buggy pin. I'd love to know more about that stone. Is it costume jewelry? Check out this link: http://oldpoliticals.com/lot-29589.aspx
Thanks! I think the stone may be the real thing, it has some weight to it. That buggy pin sure is interesting.

Nice array of finds and a very sweet cuff link!
Thanks! Back in day cuff links were very stylish.

Very nice hunt !! The cufflink is exquisite. Looks like the Warrior is working.
Thanks! It's going to take me awhile to get the Warrior figured out. It has amazing unmasking abilities in iron.

Nice finds I love the cuff link and car pin!
Thanks! The car pin is a bit unusual. 'Thanks For The Buggy Ride'. It was big deal at one time to ride in a car.

Still pretty stylish to me.
People don't dress up like they used to. Decades ago people in the audience really got dressed up for game shows on TV. Today it's tank tops and baggy shorts.
