I have been working 7 days lately & only getting a couple of hours of digging in before it gets dark. I took a little road trip today to one of the Yankee camps I hunt. Beastdigs came along with today & he found his share for as long as we had to hunt. The camp we are hunting is huge. We were on a hill today & it's very rocky & hard to dig with out messing things up . I found a few minnies, a eagle button, a old rosette, some camp lead & a 1792 1/2 reale. I cant wait until I get a full day at it. I'll take what ever I can get though. Thanks for looking & HH all.

Yep

This is the second 1/2 reale that I have found with a hole in it. I wonder why they did this. Do you guys think it was a necklace?

I was told by an old antique dealer that the hole in coinage was to in fact conceal and prevent pocket spills. Just what I was told. Makes sense.
Happy Hunting
