I was at my go-to place today when I don’t have enough time to travel to other permissions. This is an old 1800’s home site in the park around the corner from my house. I was very surprised to see it come out as this location has been hunted by others (and myself about 10 times). It’s an 1863 civil war token. Oldest coin I have found so far, my most recent just being a 1919 wheat cent. One of these days I’ll find silver or a coin that pre dates the 1900’s, but I’m certainly happy to have this one. Lots more on the bucket list.
