Got these two at a cellar hole I've been pounding for years. Literally sitting inches apart. The Indian was on the surface. It's tumbler time!!

If you have pounded it for years, how could that coin have been on the surface?

Congratulations on a couple of great finds. I've never understood why coins would end up in cellar holes, though. Do they lose them when they're building the cellar? Or did they go in there and fumble in their pocket for a match to light the lantern and spill a coin? Mystifying. But it sounds like a productive place to hunt.
