I've dug a small group of these cap/covers at an recreational area.
All have the letter "K" on them. I've found them in two different sizes.
The place dates from the late 1890's to about the mid 1960's.
The cover is made of aluminum or some kind of pot metal.
These caps could be from anything from poison ivy treatment to oil paint.
At first I thought they might have been fishing reel parts, but the thread is too coarse.
