Went back to the ballfield I found some 925 at this afternoon. I knew it had potential for some older stuff, or at least thought so much, just never found anything old there before. No wheats etc.
1957-D Rosie came up first.
Later,
1941 Merc couldn’t believe it when I saw Lady Liberty!
70¢ in clad, was getting late and felt it was time to head home. Weird thing on the Rosie - signal was not great, it may have been on its side, no clue. I placed it back flat in the hole, maybe 4-5” deep and swept the coil over it - zero signal. Nada. Zilch. Park 1, 50 tones factory otherwise including ground balance. Solid 29 out of the hole. Even the Merc signal wasn’t a “whoa, silver dime here baby!” signal, maybe it’s just challenging ground, or the way it is. I’m going to learn to ground balance the Nox. See if that makes a difference. I’m definitely going back to this field!
Happy hunting
