At the football field For a while this morning. Found a 1943 D Mercury dime,2 wheat pennies and a $1.80 in change. Found a civil war eagle badge too bad it's not all there.Not unusual to find Civil War items in this area as there was a lot of activity. Information found on the net says it is a INFANTRY HARDEE HAT BADGE

Perhaps there aren't Civil war relics in the west per se, but there are Civil War era military relics. For example, "Civil War" era bullets can be found in the surrounding area of Fort Vancouver in Washington state.

That's true Beyonder, there were military forts many in the Northwest during that time. Confederate General Pickett was stationed here before the CW.
