My new to me Garrett sea hunter ii finally arrived. I read the manual and looked at the videos several times. I think something is wrong. I know I will dig everything, but each time i sweep across it makes all kind of beeps and sounds. This is practicing in my backyard. No matter the settings. Can I get some help as I'm totally discouraged.

How far is a beach from you? Your yard could be filled with iron. Make sure you have FRESH batteries in it and try it in the sand. Only suggestions I have

You'd be amazed how much junk can be in a yard... I lived in a house a few years ago that if you swung the detector it would give at least ten hits per swing... It was a test of patience to eek out a coin from that yard...
