Posting these up for my digging buddy. Life got in the way for me today, so I couldn't go. Looks like I missed out! I'll let MoBob tell the story!

Goodness gracious what a hunt. Have you got an ID on the little tear drop bullet, or is that a carved Colt 44? What are the two eagle pics at the bottom?

Thanks, the teardrop is actually not a pistol round in this case , from what I can tell it is a .65 CSA round known as a Saxon or Hanovarian round a first for me. DIA .650 LGTH. .900 The Eagle is a piece of cast or pot metal I dug , it was down around 7" upside down when I flipped it over the eagle is what I saw , thought cool so brought it home and cleaned it. Maybe off a stove or old pot , don't really know.

Some really cool relics there. Nice variety of finds too. .69s .58s pistols carbines. Just awesome!

Thanks Joe , the ,65 round is a first for me. Hunted about 3 hrs. in a hay field Chip and I hunted before being hayed, now it's hayed looks to be some good targets in their. The heat ran me off, just got to hot.

Thanks guy's was a good 3hr hunt, a variety of minies and round balls. My favorite is the .65 cal. Saxon CSA round, that would be the one that looks like a giant teardrop pistol round, but then I also like the carved snowman and arrowhead. Have no idea what the pot metal piece with the eagle on it is, but thought it was pretty cool.

Wow, I'm gonna have to look that one up. Sweet find for sure. Stay hydrated my friend. HH.

Yep! Saxon/Hanovarian and very sweet! That eagle piece is really cool, I've seen that image somewhere before. Looks very familiar, but I can't quite place it. Super hunt!

Excellent finds MoBob! I hope to find some of those items some day. We met and talked one night several years ago at the Metal Detecting day just south of you. Good luck on future hunts.

Thanks Wolf , if you can figure out where or what the cast piece is please let me know.
