I thought this might be fun, first time anyway.
I dug this last week and just found out what it is.
I have a picture of the original patent.
I will give out some clues along the way and the contest will end on May 10th
ONE guess per day please

Pull handle for an outboard motor. You drill the hole for the size rope you use and tie a knot to secure. If that is not the correct answer it could be used for that. I win. :p
