Good to know. I just picked up an 06 Road King and was hoping my Deus would fit in the hard bags. Too bad my 31" Sampson won't fit in there too.

I have an 09 roadking. If you attach a tall backpack to the passenger back rest you can put the relic shovel in there. It sticks out the top a little but is secure and you can put everything else you need in the backpack also.

Good idea. I have a Kuryakyn Ultra Tour pack which should work perfectly.
