Anyone ever lose their little plug and replace it with something other than the $20.00 minelab (3) o-ring and (1) plug kit? Trying to not spend 20.00 for a 1.00-ish plug if I can. Google isn't being friendly and it seems proprietary. Minelab shows the part but can't be bought unless your a "member". What ever that means and the website https://www.holin-tech.com/12P-WCAP-FA.html doesn't list a price and probably won't sell (1). Looks like a bulk site and you can only inquire, which I have with no response in a week now. Update. Minimum order is 500 .. no joy.

Try a nylon bolt with an O-Ring between the bolt head and control box.
You may have to cut the bolt shorter.
Take the detector in to get the correct size and thread pitch of bolt.
They should cost less than a couple of bucks from your local hardware store.

Thanks. I contacted MineLab repair in Pennyslvania where I had my CTX repaired. It went in with the plug and I let them know that the repaired CTX didn't come with it. They kindly sent me one... Nothing but a positive experience with them. Quick, friendly, and communicative .
