Yesterday our local club in San Antonio had a fun hunt at an athletic complex. We were not allowed to hunt the sports fields but the surrounding areas provided ample targets. It was very warm and we hunted for a couple of hours. I did pretty well netting 6 1/2 quarters, 7 dimes, 3 nickels and 13 pennies. One of the pennies was a 1955 D wheat cent so I was pleased to find an older coin. The property that the sports complex sat on was a neighborhood prior to building the fields. We always have a raffle at our meetings and since we are not meeting in person we had the raffle at the hunt. I got lucky and won a 1995s proof set.

Sounds like a great day! Congrats on the win.

I do believe that's the first half-quarter I've seen though. ;)

Thank you !! I had a good time and it was fun to be out with others. The quarter was so evenly cut it did not look like it was hit by a mower. Not sure why someone would intentionally do that.
