Default Any MDers MDs with homemade equipment?

Just thinking out loud if anyone MDs with home made equipment?

Being in a country with no MD equipment, I am thinking of making my own...

Anyone care to share if they made some and how they make it?

We have at least couple other members from Singapore, dunno where they got their gear..mail order?

A lot of us have made our own Straight shafts, hip mounts and a few other mods like headphones. MUCH cheaper to make and most of the stuff is simple to do. I made a shaft for under $30 compared to ones on ebay for $100 or Anderson shafts for $130,

I have made my own sheaths for my diggers and brass probes (not pin pointer). I have posted how-to instructions here on the forum.

Dating myself I guess, my first detector was a Heath Kit. In fact I built two of them. They seemed to work quite well but I gave them away to kids I knew, that seemed to have a sincere interest.

Just went out this morning and tested my new plug cutter it is like a u shaped cookie cutter with a two foot handle I just put it over the target and step on it to push it into the ground and push the handle over to lift the plug up and flip it over then search the hole for the target , worked every time in the lawn at the park with almost no damage done to the grass and it is easy to use .
