Hey Folks,

I found this small metal object with a lens in the middle last time I went out to some nearby woods. The lense inverts the image (meaning it turns it upside down when looked through)

The area has had German and Canadian troops during WW2, but also tourism starting in the 19th century.

Could this be part of a camera? Perhaps something military?
I'd appreciate any ideas.

Those loupes were used during the entire 20th century by many professions. I used a simular at printing school (Grafische School) in the 80's.
