Contents of my Safety Deposti Box 6.5 lbs of Gold

I don't really have to "sell something" at this point, but do like to show my find insofar a they represent a "lot of trial, error and hat to say it--misery. I come by them honestly and have put some of the things that a few mentors have taught me into print.
Most of what's in that picture has come from thing I learned from others.
If I'd been "scouting" around on my own taking cheap shots at the guys who knew more than me the tray would be near empty.
No scam there just good old fashioned effort and the humility to ask and to learn.

Your best pictures Clive are the individual pictures like that big plat ring you found or all the old stuff you have pulled.... you like hunting those old spots like me ;)

Well, I am certainly not in a position to criticize here.

Looks like some really nice finds to me.

I have not read or possessed any of Clive's books,, but I do think it's nice he has indeed written some on detectors/ detecting.

Sounds like a gent I need to meet,, you never know maybe something might rub off,,,, and then I may be more successful.

My hat goes off to him.

One thing for sure it more then many of us would find in a few lifetimes.

For me it is three hunters I would not want to see leaving the water on the beach's I hunt.. And for sure Clive on the left is no rookie...

Great picture Joe!!

Great picture Joe!!

That is a cool picture alright! Clive is a great hunter and honorable guy...just want to say, a few years back when I was going through some real bad family issues, (child on drugs) he sent me one of his books for FREE...it got me through some long nights, took my mind off of things...

so yeah...CJC is one of the good guys...he aint selling...hes giving! Advice, inspiration and friendship to any and all that will listen and want to try to be the best at this sport in the short time we have here...

You guys don't know Clive... he is a very good hunter... his pictures are of his finds from over the years. Clive isn't getting rich selling books.. his books are helpful but do not guarantee success... he has worked hard for his finds... Clive hunts beaches from Canada to the Caribbean.

I don't dispute anything you stated above. My problem is in 10 years he has 115 post and about 99% are "Look at my Treasure" one liners with his book selling website attached. No advice to newbies or congrats on anyone's finds just free advertisement. I really appreciate the active contributing members who want to help out others as their only motivation for posting. If he found out a way to make a profit and enjoy his hobby then best of luck to him. He could at least try to be more active in discussions, help members, and congratulate them on their finds. If stating the obvious makes me a "dick" then so be it. Been called a lot worse:lol:

I was called a Richard several times this week. All for simply doing my job :D

63 working days left :D

Great News!!!!!!! I'm back working a couple days a week in evidence room and evidence processing/fingerprinting. Also stayed on as an auxiliary deputy to work extra details and keep my commission. Best of all, very little stress. :D do miss the rush from SRT, but wife doesn't.

I agree..

If you post you should at least try to reply to questions about your post... My question on the first page has yet to be answered...

Excellent year, I can see why you don't post much..I should be so busy out there but getting too sore to detect very long, but fella...finding that much gold is not out of anyone's reach, every year I had 1 or2 cabinets at a jewelry shop I consigned my stuff in and still held a full time job, but one thing has changed since and that's how many detectors are on the beach, most days the beach was all mine.
Congrats cjc.

I peeked at this post... saw those piles of rings and thought it resembled the "Life Styles of the Rich and Famous" show.

Sorta one of those... "See the Rings you'll never find... see the items that will never grave your scoop.

Bah... too much like ring porn but congrats on a job well done and some really nice finds. I'm sure its a lot of work, time and just plain not giving up!

Indeed, "Look at My Treasure"

Isn't that the name of the forum? Sorry its not Clives Classroom forum. I help newbies a' plenty and respond to all kinds of replies. I'm also barraged with "Dear Abbey " emails already "What machine should buy, Clive?" For sure I post stuff to bring in site traffic. Only here does that seem to be a big deal. Ive asked repeatedly about a banner ad and was told a short trial period would be fine. When I was billed it was for a much longer term, so I backed out. Would have had to sell a book every two days. I post just to show what can be accomplished by way of hard work and know how. That's the dream I'm selling--one that can't be faked. When I make a good find I try to say how it was gotten. Thanks for the kudos. See you in the water. And you guys with the cheap shots? Take a good look.
