What type of bullet is this?

My buddy just dug up this ringed bullet at the park where we have dug other three ringers and such

Looks like the type of bullet that could kill something or somebody!!

Actually looks to me like a more modern pistol bullet. Too misshapen to tell by me anyway.

I'm pretty darn sure that its a 45-70 bullet for the Springfield Model 1873 rifle.

An Indian War period bullet.
