Well, this morning I got out between showers to check a newly mowed city spot. Struck out as was all full dirt.
I had parked at an old, "hunted out" neighborhood park. On the way to the truck I said to myself try around this old group of trees for a few and go home. Got a nice tone with some depth. VID was just below a zinc at 82/83. Thought it would be a tab, but something sounded right...
Popped a beautiful green large coin. Turned out to be an 1892 Canadian Queen Victoria Large Cent.
This hobby has so many surprises! It is finds like this that keep me going!
