Default lost my wedding ring :((
Was playing volleyboll in my pool, threw my hand back to hit ball and felt my ring fly off my hand....can't find it anywhere...I rented a metal detector but it was so old that it wasn't really accurate it's been 3 days and still, no luck..

What kind of metal detector? Maybe someone here is familiar with it and can help with settings and what to listen for.

Cheap crappy detectors have a hard time with gold. Good luck.

And the volunteers have modern machines and are intimately familiar with their detectors, which is important as you have already found out.
