I came home yesterday, after work, on a mission to straighten my scoop enough to go hunting that evening. I decided to take a mallet to it and just get it looking like a scoop again. Mission accomplished. It was straight enough to hold up for a couple hours.
The weather was pretty overcast and the water was pretty choppy, but that meant there wasn't really anybody at the beach. Pretty much had the hole place to myself on a Friday evening.
This ring was my best find of the night. I actually scooped the ring up with a half of a shell casing, a dime, and also a dog tag in the same scoop. This was by far my Crustiest ring to date. This thing had pieces of coral actually growing on it. The picture of the ring before cleaning was actually after I had already removed some of the chunks of coral, just to figure out if it was a ring or not.
Sterling Peace Ring. This is Ring #27 for the year. My gold streak officially ended, but I am glad I didn't get skunked. Thanks for looking.
